Turn Won't End & Glitches

https://forums.elementalgame.com/404006

The link is to a post with almost the exact same problem except turning off auto-explore & re-directing each unit has no effect.

*Has anyone notices that sometimes the hero image changes to a random character? If so, go to edit the info card and if the original image comes back up, save it.

*When using Call of the Titans it summons caravans & transports instead of just the Heros.

*On some maps researching adventure doesn't reveal anything new.

*It will say you've received something & not add it to your inventory.

*Mana graph doesn't change.

Are these things just happening to me?

Doesn't matter, I just want to fix the End-turn problem.

Thanks

Nope, I've gotten these too, it may be that your processor isn't fast enough(I just posted that, hoping for some input).

I'm running a 2.3ghz Quad core 7 gigs of ram.

My experience index ratings are as follows:

Processor: 7.0

Calculations: 7.2

Memory (RAM): 6.9

Graphics: 6.9

Gaming Graphics: 6.9

Primary Hard Disk : 5.4

It should be good.

What is keeping it from ending the turn though, that's the only question I care about.

You might be getting later in the game.  If you have been playing for a while, you might be getting close the infamous Out Of Memory error.  Depending on you size of map.

The random hero and changing of the city name is completely annoying.  I hope they get that one fixed soon.

Call of Titans is scheduled to be fixed in 1.2 or 1.19--I can't remember which

Adventure---haven't seen that one.

It might be in the inventory of one of your other heroes.  I sent one of them back to the city, on the way back they hit a goodie.  They got the potion.

Mana graph---I don't think I have ever looked at, not sure

I have encountered this before. Check all of your units, and see if any of them still seem to be moving, even though they are not (animation shows them to be running in place). If so, save the game (this doesn't fix it), quit and restart the game in cheat mode, find that unit and Ctrl T it one space from where it is. That has always worked for me. Ya know, know that I think about it, maybe you can just use teleport. As for the image change, that occurs after I create a new type of unit and then usually it is my Sovereign who turns out looking like the new unit, but sometime it is others. A quick save and reload usually solves that one, sometimes though it takes a quit and restart.

Thanks for the info KingHobbit & when you click a blank space on the map, the left side of the HUD there is a graph with three little icons on either side. Mana is the blue shard icon on the top right... Have you noticed that disband doesn't work either?

Loondenhur it was worth a try but no characters running in place unless it happens to be a transport (ship) that doesn't have legs to show it's perpetual peel out. I've had plenty of out of memory errors too but no error pops up in this case it just wont end the turn. I can pull people out of cities they just wont move past the first tile even though it says they have moves remaining. I am playing on a gigantic map. I guess I'll have to scale it down.

The worst part of it is: It seems like even if you use a smaller map it just takes longer before it has a problem. YOU CAN NEVER FINISH A GAME unless you just get in, get it done & don't get to have any fun.

Auto-explore will cause this. Find and click on each and every unstationed unit. Ensure auto-explore is turned off, click on a square next to the unit to move it there. I bet you will find the unit causing the issue - the second you find it, the end turn will cycle.

Turn off auto turns.. and end turns manually. Never seen this issue with auto turns off.

I have seen it happen without auto-turns.  It happened when I had a unit that was running in place.  It just so happened that they were near another unit that hadn't moved yet so I move the non-running-in-place unit into the square with the one that was running in place and it fixed it just fine.  I don't know if this is the case with the OP but I did want to clear that up.  I had no unit using auto-explore either.
