Caravans and siege

Hello all, first post here. I only recently bought the game and I'm having fun but there are some problems that I don't know how to solve.

In my first game I conquered two cities. Now these cities are mine but still under siege, and caravans are on hold. I don't see an enemy unit in all the map, not near my new cities nor far from them. The result is, the two cities are starving to death and hurting my economy more than helping.

Is this a bug or I have to do something in order to free them from sieges?

are you sure they are under siege and you simply haven't overextended your resources ? check your population and food and see if you have gone over that with the 2 cities you captured.

Pretty sure about it. In the city information screen all the caravans are "on hold due to siege", without any siege going on!

I wonder if it's possible to start a siege and then move your units away?  If so this would be a pretty major bug/exploit.
