I can't start the game

I just recently bought the game from walmart, and it installed fine, but when I try to open the game an error message pops up and says "Elemental is not available at this time. Please visit www.elementalgame.com for more information." I thought maybe it was because there's a newer version I have to download, but when I try to use the impulse thing, none of the numbers on/in this game box are recognized by the serial number area.

Am I missing something or doing something wrong?
