There's too little cursing on this forum....

Seriously guys, this forum is one of the best forums I've seen because the developers, especially Frogboy, do listen to us gamers and are sincere.  The problem is that I can look at a thread without ever hearing someone swearing or yelling profanities just for the fun of it.  Other people might be amused, but it gets old really quick.

In addition to hiring Jon Shafer, Stardock should seek to have Paradox Interactive, the creator of Europa Universalis, Hearts of Iron, and Victoria series fire their forum moderator.  The forum moderator over there takes his job far too seriously.  Though it can feel a bit fun at times, it makes for an unpleasant and sterile reading experience.

Please note I'm not targeting any particular individual, and for those who are angered that I am, I'm not targeting you but your infrequent use of cursing. ^_^

This is not nearly so clever as I suspect you feel it is. It is rather petty.

Curse this shit. Need thought police.

Swearing isn't really needed to get your point across in a post. And even in real life, i have swearing strictly reserved for shock situations such as slamming a finger in a door or getting an 'out of memory' error when i try to save game in Elemental. I might even let one loose when an archer suddenly runs forward (due to tiny mouse slip, not out of range) instead of attacking during combat in elemental!! That's about it.

To be fair both topics are petty.

What we need is the posting version of the bartender from Boondock Saints.

I suspect you have no idea how clever I find this. I also suspect you need to lighten up.

I got a good laugh out of it.  Made my crappy day just a little bit better.  Thanks TheProgress

I try my hardest to curse as much as possible, but not EVERY post requires it.  Shit.

I disagree with all posters here and in every other thread. You are all a bunch of fucking idiots.

I feel special now. Was that clever, petty or both?

There's definitely a mum joke in there, but I wouldn't want to upset the purity police by posting it ;)

i find that cursing isn't really insulting enough for my needs. i find it much effective to look people directly in the eye and just tell how horrifically ugly they are in comparison to me.

Labvakar! (good evening)

Mani sauc Diardiamond (my name is ...duh)

Ej ellÄ“ pimpis  (fuck off dick)

Couldn't resist a little swearing in my mothers native tongue... though german & russian swear words have more character than latvian ones; but I live in quebec so I grew up with those colourfull french swears. Esti tabarnac salup!! Anyways... anyone who can swear in 8 languages can get 'lucky' pretty damn easilly with girls who speak those 8 languages....}:)  +  = :bebi:

PS: I can only speak & write 3 languages pretty well (but I've got horrible typos in english for some reason, especially when I'm tired)... but I can curse in 8. Makes for fun times when I meet unilingual tourists up here who think there tough crap. HULK SMASH! lol

Swearing is much more effective when saved for maximum impact.

Intelligent, charming, and physically fit. I can see why you have such an easy time with the ladies, even though you tend to swear at them in 8 different languages. <_<

It depends on what effect you're striving for. If it's merely a minor emphasis, then that is likely to be counterproductive. If you use profanity to enhance the terribleness of your rage when you well and truly wax wroth, then what you say is accurate. But at that point, word choice is likely to be a side issue.

I sometimes agree with the OP when I come here.

I am also a realist and understand that while Stardock allow the language on the forum then it will be used by somebody, even if to just annoy those don't like it. Neither do I think Stardock should police language, but sometimes I think that I wouldn't like children on these forums, reading what some people post. Sometimes.

When I do work (part time) I am a doorman/bouncer. I'm not jsut fit, I'm a beast... 340 lbs (no, not pure muscle, I got a good amount of Molson muscle &  Labbat fat) of agressive poor impulse control when I;ve been drinking. Oh, also makes medieval live action wargames at the TamTams on the mountain alot of fun on the weekend. Though... being this way tends to see me get swarmed by people who hold grudges and want to try and show off to their friends... HAHA.. sure is rough but fun. Ah, that reminds me of one of my 1st battles almost a decade ago. i was knocked out cold by a waif of a girl who was throwing copper plates over a small wall. She was trying to limit how much loot we made off with since we were tearing through the defenders. One of those plates smashed me right between the eyes. I was told that it took 6 guys to carry me to the medic tent. Good times. As for intelegent... well... anyone who makes a living working at after hours clubs as a doorman can't be all that smart...lol
