These forums are suprisingly civil, and I think it's because...

The staff actually posts here.  What an amazing difference that makes.  After Soren's wonderful respones from the Civ Fans I'm surprised 2kGames or Firaxis decided to hit the "mute" button on everyone.  And of course the ironic contrast is that in fact, I'd daresay it's quite pleasant here!

The elemental forums are generally pretty good here, although the miscelaneous forums are pretty poorly moderated and much less civil.
