Guardian of the Goodie Hut?

On higher difficulty levels, are goodie huts defended? I've been playing on the lower settings to try and understand the game, and I was disappointed that I didn't have to fight for any of these free resources. The only way for my champions to gain EXP was to quest or fight bandits.

In the vanilla game, no. However, there are guarded resources in the adventure content pack mod. Just a note...don't autoresolve the battle, it will break the goodiehut, and you won't be able to activate it. The guardians are also very powerful, do not walk in there with just your sov.

If you do break the goodiehut, you can save the game and reload it and you can visit the goodiehut again.
