[1.1] Problems with Sovereign Children and AI

I noticed a few times that whent I marry one of my sov's daughters to a foreign prince she will always die.  I don't know if the AI is incomptent at keeping its champs alive or what but as soon as she is dead I get a (-5) relations modifier with the faction and it says that my faction killed their child, even though I am not at war with that faction and have not killed any of their units.

I have also noticed large numbers of enemy sov children that are not equipped with armor or a weapon and are easy to kill.  They also get killed a lot to monsters when they move from place to place since they are unarmed.  However, I have still noticed a few instances of the other factions arming a champion with the Sword of Wrath very early in the game before anyone even has broadswords.

Your sov daughters marry and go to other Sov's control. And yes, the Sov will have all sorts of great equipment, if given enough time.  But spouses don't change, at all, in my games, so far.  The trade off, I guess is, give them the best equipment you can - and maybe they will survive.  If they survive, you may get grandkids, and some of them may join you.  Downside is you may find yourself at war with that sov, and find your daughter facing you across the battlefield.  That great equipment you gave her may come back to slice/pierce/bite you.
