Assassin Profession

Just curious how come the double damage bonus doesn't apply to your Sovereign also?

As far as I know this trait reads a bit ambiguous.  to answer your question, it does if he has the trait.

To be more precise, I think it ONLY applies to units (Hero/champs/sov) that posess this trait.  Whereas it reads like it applies to all in the unit's same stack.

Try it and let me know if your experience differs from my own...

AFAIK it only applies to the hero with the trait, only goes off once per season (not once per combat), and a dodge does not 'use up' the effect.

First undodged attack of the season by the hero with the ability.

Sorry, what does once per season mean? I don't have to game yet. Also I don't understand what "it applies only to a hero with the trait." I thought assassin was a profession. Is their a talent for it as well? Once again, sorry for my question.

My Sov often marries the female hero assassin and his female children inherit the assassin title and get the doubled-damage for their first attack in a tactical battle.

@cbarchuk -- my guess is that by 'once per season' he means a player turn.

My experience is that my assassin heroes and children get the doubled-damage attack for their first attack (not counter-attack, counter-attacking before they can initiate an attack does not trigger the doubled-damage attack) each tactical battle.  If there's multiple tactical battles in a player turn then they get that doubled-damage attack in each tactical battle.

Also, if the doubled-damage attack is blocked or dodged, that counts and the doubled-damage attack is considered used for that tactical battle.

And my Sov has never gotten a doubled-damage attack (when the wife and female kids have the trait) so I think Gene1966 is correct).

End of Nick-Danger's quote

That is correct.  It should be stated once per battle.  It has nothing to do with turn or season.
