Elemental New Install Weird Screen ???

Fresh install of Elemental on Win7 machine. Getting this weird screen glitch. It looks like some morphing glyph.

Info

Os - win7

cpu - i7-720qm

vid - ati 5850 driver 10.10e

sound - IDT codec and high def driver

screen - 1600x900p

I have tried lots of screen video options in game. No AA, 2 AA, full screen, non full screen, etc... Any help would be super appreciated. Game is updated to latest patch. Best Wishes, StevenX

Bump,

I performed a full uninstall, ran a registry search for stardock, impulse and elemental. Had to delete a lot of entries manually. Used CCleaner for the rest of the registry. Finally got the game to reinstall again. Added patch via impulse and viola. Same issue as screenshots.

I dont understand what is causing the 3d graphics to look strange on the map. all stretched out. I am using catalyst 10.10e.

Anyone else on here with ATI graphics? If so which driver are you utilizing?

Well.. fixed it myself. I updated video driver from 10.10e (which is very new) to 10.12 (CCC v2) and this resolved the weird 3d world map glitch.

So .. I hope someone gets some value out of this.
