Memory Question/New Computer

I have only 2 gigabytes of memory and am using Windows XP on my computer.  Will I have enough memory in version 1.1 to play on a large map (which says 12x8 when I move over the save file)?  I looked at the screen shots of memory usage that were shown for v 1.1, which I just loaded today.  It looks like it is pretty high memory usage.  Can virtual memory help make up the difference?

I am planning on getting a new computer after Christmas, with Windows 7 x 64 bit and at least 6 gigs of ram.  Can I transfer my game/save files?  Will I be able to download the version 1.1 in January, instead of new updates they put out, so that my save files are compatible?  I bought the game retail, so I have the actual CD.  But it says I can only register the game 1 time.

Thanks.

Rob

Yes, VM can help, but 2 gig should be ok, so long as you are not using any other programs at the same  time, I wouldn't tab in and out of EWoM to surf the nets, and I would go no where near photoshop.

Saved and custom files would be a simply copy and past, but make sure you are up-to-date before you do this, and after. Your EWoM CD key is linked to your impulse account, you can install impulse on any number of computers, so no issues will a rise their.  Star-dock believe in allowing us poor gamers some freedom to use the actual programs we have paid for!
