[1.1 CTD] CTDs

My first CTD in a while (since 1.09t I think).  Fought a battle, got the results screen and the game crashed.

New game, new CTD.  Just declared war on Magnar and crashed after advancing into his territory.

Strike three.  Game froze up and had to do a hard reboot.  Honestly, v1.09v was WAY more stable than this - never crashed or froze once in hours and hours of play.  I'm going to go play Civ 5 now until you guys figure out what's wrong.  I can't play more than 30 minutes without crashing or freezing.

Same issue for me too Stuie. I'm on a win7 64-bit machine, how about you?

XP SP3 32-bit.  Frustrating as hell since I was really enjoying the game with 1.09v.  :(

Same here. Only in to season 174 and two crashes (freezes, game just stops running). Debug file shows no errors. Only common theme is garbage cleanout followed by ZOC calc. Game dies right after that. Does not appear to be combat related since I;ve had on freeze post combat and one just moving on the map. My rig is Win7 32 bit, so we are covering the system spectrum here. I was also running quite well with the latter betas as well. I also took out older mods just in case.

I hope they can pin it down fast too. I can live with reloading the game, but stable is better.

I'm using Memory Cleaner prior to running the game and having better success.  Obviously this should not be necessary.

Stuie,

Better as in not crashing, or playing longer before crashing? Have you tested by running a save both with and with the cleaner to see the difference? I'm curious.

Thanks.

I have yet to crash using this memory utility.  Haven't had a chance to play more than an hour or so, though.  The real test comes later tonight and tomorrow as I am off the next few days.  :)

I actually made it to the end of a game!!!  Haven't crashed since using this memory utility.  I think this points to some bad memory usage or leaks on the part of the game.  Hopefully being addressed in future patches so that some of us don't have to cross our fingers and hope for the best when playing this game.
