Probably the To-Do list that trails all the changelogs to start with. Hopefully more features such as spells from that contest to increase depth too. Some core gameplay fixes like *cough cough * diplomacy would be greatly appreciated too.
If 1.2 is as epic as 1.1 it should be worth waiting for (though hopefully not too long!).
Well Procipinee told me that she, Irane, and Ceresa will be posing in the next issue of Playboy Elemental version... other than that I have no idea and who reads Playboy anyways?
There's this thing called the Holidays. It's a time when everyone eats a lot of food, drinks too much booze, gets gifts, and all the juice that makes for good game development gets poured back into the staff. These guys have been working at breakneck speeds to get Elemental 1.1 ready for the holidays. They need a break so they can come back fresh.

Just wanted to hear what their direction was to tide us over through those holidays you speak of. I'm just really excited about Elemental's direction and like Ratatosk said, if it's nearly as awesome as the jump from 1.09 to 1.1, I'm going to die of happiness. Seriously.
And I agree, Diplomacy could really use a kicker. That, and character development. Skills or skill trees would be awesome.
Oh, and making the dynasty system better. Or making the factions more varied/different. (Or giving me Orcs, Elves, Undead, or other similarly drastically different factions.)
Ooh, the possibilities. Could you imagine factions as varied and cool looking as those from FFH? That's part of the excitement for me in FFH, just meeting the different factions.

My favorite even though I played as Khazad cause I'm a greedy bastard. My first city in Elemental is always gold focused too.
Would be nice if you could pick special abilities for your soveriegn or heroes when they level up kind of like Age of Wonders.
Its been mentioned a lot and there is stuff in the code prepared for it. So hopefully we get some nice surprises in near future.
Yes, especially design goals don't need tons of effort to get it down on electronic text on the company's own game forum. Two Questions I think a lot would like would be interested in answers to:
1. What is happening with Elemental's widely touted scripting support?
2. Issues and solutions - what about the War of Magic?

I'm really looking forward to casting single target spells on units without breaking stacks. That's the ONE big feature/fix I always keep my eye out for.

It's not like this is life or death here, it's ok if we don't find out where this relationship is going until after the holidays.
Besides, everyone knows even a basic summary of a design doc is a pain the assballs.
One of the main issues that they should work on is the sound. Not the music, but the sound effects and voice acting. They are still subpar and don't fully immense one into the game.
Nobody reads it. They just look at the pictures.
I doubt bumping this will make em post the dev plan any earlier, Devildog. ![]()
They'll post the plans when they feel like it's ready to post them. And no doubt they will. SD has kept us up to date on all things happening so far (and did so for their other games), so just show a little patience and you'll see we'll get all the info we need in due time. ![]()
