out of curiosity, is this so you can play left handed ? What would the purpose of this change be ?

Nah, there's just a bunch of us who have our brains turned backwards.

Right. Left handed.

Think flight simulator Glowing_Ember. If you've played enough of those, you get your head re-wired whether you like it or not.

For me up/down rotation direction is unnatural, I would made it in opposite way. And I completely see how some people wourd prefer to change left/right rotation as well. It has nothing to do with left-right-handedness.

So, I second the request...

Yes, this is for people who like to pull down on the mouse to have the camera rotate upwards, like a flight sim.

I have not seen a game in a long time that did not have the ability to invert y camera movement.  X I can live with as is, but Y as is just confuses the hell out of me.

Yeah, actually, I'd really like this too.  My brain is just wired that way.

I don't know why none of the devs ever respond to this thread.  I keep bringing it up every couple weeks or so, but they never respond.

So - Stardock dudes - please let us know if you can add this.  It is almost standard in games nowadays.

Thanks!

I want to bump it in hope of SD response.

sorry i just wanted to say that my earlier response was a play on words, not a criticism. ^_^'

Maybe this is a good place to ask, but is there a key combo to return your view to 'normal'?

Meaning that if you changed your camera angle to view around mountains or something like it a way to restore to the default without dropping out of the game and reloading?

Actually, thinking about it, being able to have several customizable pre-set camera angles that you can select from would be nice.

Both options, a 'Revert view to normal' and a 'Saved View' setting would be awesome.

I would love the ability to invert the camera, I get confused as well at times.  Especially when I'm zoomed in.

The current system is just bizarre behaving one way if the cursor is in the top half of the screen when you rotate the camera, and then behaving a different way (the way I like it) if the cursor is in the lower half of the screen. If you want the masses to like you game, then controls are not the place to start getting creative, but if you do, at least have the option to invert axes, which most games have. And while your at it, might I request the ability to invert the pan axes as well?
