Turn Slowdown

Has anyone else been having a problem with long waits between turns with the latest patches.  It is getting to be as bad as Civ4.  Hit end turn and wait 30 seconds before you get the next turn.  I thought the multithreading was supposed to end that problem.

For me, it doesn't happen until 200 or so turns when I've got 5-6 cities and full caravans between the two.

 

Sure, it slows a bit, but I'll take that over Elemental circa September 2010.

 

We could use a visual indicator that the turn calculations are happening though. I've found myself a bit confused when I can't do stuff, only to find all the caravan and pathing movement occurring.

I've noticed the graphical execution of the AI may speed/slow down things. Zoom to an empty part of the map, then end turn. Seems to be lightning quick. Zoom to a part with a tons of caravans or lots of things going on, and it takes longer.

It seemed liked they fixed this in 1.09p but, it's back in 1.09s, end turn feels clinkly once again.

I just had this problem in 1.09u in fact, the game seems to have stopped.
It started slowing down in a tactical battle, then stopped for about five minutes during an attack action.
Then resumed again at a normal clip.
When the battle ended and I got back to the Campaign map, I ended turn and the game stopped.
Its still very early in the game on a 64x64 Elementerra Generated map.
Four AI opponents on Hard, pacing set to fast.
