[1.09s] CTD when trying to Load game

I saw something with one of my cities that I had conquered two turns ago but that had kept the enemy ZOC. So I decided to save and load, to check if that effect persisted or not.

I saved successfully but when I went to the main menu and clicked the Load menu... Crash!

Same game, many turns later. Issue with default equipment of a champion and not being shareable. I decide to save and reload. Saves fine but when I select the saved game to load it: crash
