Mega Map issues?

Am I the only one with a problem with the mega map?  In 1.09n I was ending up in the same spot every time with no food nearby.  It would crash within 3 turns.  Now in 1.09p I think I figured out why. 

I spawn with no food nearby in the same spot.  I explored for quite a while summer 191 with both the Sov and Janusk.  The only thing I found was Relias with one outpost built with nothing nearby.  There has been nothing at all but the 3 forest tiles I spawned near.
