I'm missing it ;~p

The cumulative time many of us spend looking for the change logs, makes me think they are worthy of a sticky.

I doubt they do much work over the weekend, so give it some time. They are probably still catching up. Besides its a privilege not a right, and a very recent one at that.

Agreed, they need to be sticky.

As for the changes: I think an emphasis this time needs to be made on stability.  I think the mechanics are good enough right now (though if you find tweaks, it never hurts) , get it stable and it's a viable release patch.

From here on out, it's lkely to be bug fixes/balance.

Yeah, I'm pretty weirded out about the whole stability thing.  My Elemental games under 1.09p have been VERY STABLE, with just occasional crashes that I easily recover from (reload the autosave).  I've been seeing stability issues all the way up to 1.09e (and n, o).  So, for my configuration, stability is pretty much solved, although I haven't made it to Spring 240 yet...

Memory usage is much better now.  It floats around 80-90% a lot now (2 gigs ram, Vista home 32 bit, Turion 64 x2, Radeon HD2600).  Before, I'd see OOM's. and 98% memory usage was common.  Haven't seen a single OOM with this build.

So why is my game (and quite a few others here) so much more stable, yet we have people still having huge stability issues?  Stardock obviously has a handle on the problem in my case, but these other people wouldn't know any different, since they still have issues.  I'm sure the developers are hard at work on that question, but it disheartens me to know I'm having a good time and some others are not.  If they could just play on my computer, they could see just how fun the game is now, even in it's 'newly unfinished' state!

I'd blame Intel processors just because (I like rooting for the little guy), but I know that's very likely not it.  Hopefully, those wanting to play a fully stable version of Elemental on their own computer get their wish soon, because this game has a lot of potential, and has realized a good amount of potential as is!

Is there any chance of a non-animation option for tactical battles?  Or some optimization for the lower end machines?  I see this as a bonus, not something expected.  I already appreciate the work you've done to make the game accesable on lower end machines.  I don't know how complicated it is to turn off the animations etc so I can't gauge the feasibility of it.  I just like the idea of being able to play the full game (albeit a graphics light version) on machines with integrated graphics. I can play the animated 2D battles of Battle For Wesnoth fine on this rig.  Makes me wonder if something could be done to make EWoM's tactical battles work (some do, others don't, I haven't found a pattern as to why)?  And is it possible for 2D support even if that means its modders who do the modeling?

The only real stability issues my x1950 radeon has ever had is that the player card's background is not scaled right.

It hasn't been fixed, but it doesn't bother me as I get a new card for christmas!

Have any of you tried moving to the darkling resource tiles yet? I seem to remember that this would crash the game at times in 1.09p.

Anyways, nice to know I ave a new update when I get home.

Yes PLEASE focus on bug fixes and memory leaks, wash, rinse and repeat! And then refocus on bug fixes and memory leaks. Please , my sanity will Thank you !!!

Thank you for focusing on stability.  The fact that stability is now my big worry is a sign of how much you've made the rest of the game fun.

Some areas could use expanding, but that's what expansions are for.
