[1.09p BETA] CTD on level end

Just a bug report - i'm not sure if there is a better place to send these (or a way i can include a useful crashdump?)

I've been playing the 1.09p beta for most of today and been getting relatively regular CTDs on pressing the end turn button, so far 6 in about 7 hours of play. There's no particularly helpful error message, just a frozen game and the standard Windows "this program has experienced a problem and needs to close" dialog. some observations that may or may not be helpful:

 - Vista 32-bit, Intel Q6600 quad-core with plenty of memory, can give graphics driver/etc details, but I'm guessing it's not a graphics fault.

 - Always happens instantly on hitting end turn. Otherwise I can't see any correlation to whats going on in-game or a specific save (it's happened in two different saves, sometimes on turn 3, or on turn 200+)

 - I've only checked twice, but on two of those occasions the crash must have occurred after the autosave (which I've got set to run every turn). As loading that save started up on the turn I would have been going into if it hadn't crashed in the first place. (Or at least the last action I took before crashing both times was in place when I reloaded).

 - They're both brand new saves for this version, no mods, no previously designed units. It's a fresh install of the game

 - haven't played any of the 'pre-release' betas before, so I can't confirm if it's new this version or not.

 

Not sure if it's relevant but I'm getting a lot of stalls in general, on all parts of the game. Essentially a ~1-2 second freeze followed by resuming as normal every ~1-10 minutes

I also get a bunch of mini-stalls; I notice that they happen when an animation is running (moving unit, etc), and when it un-stalls the rest of the animation has been skipped.  I wonder if the animation times out?

 

I also get an occasional total freeze on end turn, and my saved game is always right before the crash and I can continue from there.  I notice that it only seems to happen if I make a technology breakthrough that turn (and not always, of course), if that's helpful...

I don't know if it's the same end-of-turn crash that I noticed in 1.09n, but if it is, I wonder if it's related to the auto-save feature?

As I got those crashes, I started manually saving more frequently, so I wouldn't lose progress after a crash. ...oddly, I found that if I manually saved every turn, I never got an end-of-turn crash. At all. It would only happen when I got less faithful to saving and would neglect a manual save for a bunch of turns.
