couple of 1.09n bugs

minor factions don't show their influence borders? they are there... because if you walk close enough, they bitch about it.. but the influence zone doesn't show up on the screen?

even stranger... save/load expanded my influence zone into their bit

 

inside the spellbook.. you are supposed to see the number of turns till research is done... but you don't actually seer it half the time because there are too much info in most of the strategic spells (might also apply to some tactical ones) and presumably crowded out the line of green text off screen.

 

would imagine it's same issue as hero's details screen where if you have too much info to fit into the 2 pages.. they just disappear rather than continuing on a new page

I've noticed the absence of the Minor Factions border as well.  All the other nations borders were fine.

 

You can scroll down to see the time to research for spells.  There is no indication that you can do so.  I only found out by reading these forums. 

 

Would be nice to be able scroll the hero's screen to see hidden data.  And the intelligence stat is missing from the various stat pages!?  That's an important one when deciding who to imbue.

i haven't seen a minor faction in a long time.  i wonder if i have them turned off somehow?!?

  We had a talk about minor factions and decided that they shouldn't have influence, but we still have to clean up the message warning player when they are to close.

um. don't they normally build stuff? if they don't have influence, they can't build anything to do anything? is there a point in having them aside from caravan stop/foreign shop/spouse?

I'll add a few more bugs:

I almost never see lost libraries, what happened to them?  There are tons of temples but there are just no libraries anywhere!

Some of the damage in tactical combat is bugged (arcane strike- says it does -3 damage instead of 75% INT but actually does 0, bow attacks- either never hits or always says it does the attack power, other spells- some of the animations are a bit off as well (storm is- the lightning strike is in the wrong place))  Because of this in the summary screen it can tell me that unit X did 140 damage to the enemy while the enemy has a total of 50 health!  It is very confusing.

I often find the turn ending before I am done.  I build 3 units and want to move all of them.  I move one, new turn.  Move the next, new turn.  Finally move #3, new turn.  It is quite annoying.

Also, sometimes my units refuse to move the way I want them to.  I will click on the target tile and they will either go somewhere completely different and can't be stopped because the turn will sometimes automatically end, or they will move a tile forward, and then back to their original position.

One last thing- every time I load a game my influence will be 2-3 tiles less than when I saved it and will expand a few turns later.  This is very annoying as it means that I have to continuously rebuild the resources that are at the edge of my influence (I often have to reload because of crashes).

Another big bug for me is it seems to be running choppy slow sluggish after like 20 rounds or so maybe 30 or 40 at most  and I'm running top notch setup, 8 gb ram , win7 x64 , Intel Core 2 Quad q9550, Nvidia Evga 465 1gb, no reason for this to be happening, no spy ware etc (im a tech i know what I'm doing with that stuff)

Tried tweaking around the settings haven't gone crazy with it like messing with NV Control panel n shit but thats set at default atm.

Was wondering if anyone else was having these issues with performance, it especially shows up in the battle scenes im not talking a little sluggish like the games running at 1/4 to 1/6 the speed, like 5 fps n shit , it will run great for the the first 20-30 rounds tho after that its all to hell, playing on large map whit 4-6 computer ai. if so let me konw so i dotn think its me i tired it on XP 32bit also, same system dual boot, and having the same issues , Note: top end 3d games are running flawless so i know its not me just dont know if its a hardware specific thing wiht the game so i cna let them know and fix that shit.

Yeah the click-in tile and going to the wrong ones is very annoying, u can temp fix this by doing a direct top view (either 2 or 3 button, not numpad ones) changes view types or use middle mouse button.

The influence thing i haven't noticed but sometimes when i alt+tab the game and come back the influence borders are gone for everyone or half there.

OH yah i almost forgot , in the character creation (hero) builder , when selecting weapons for skillpoints the 3rd weapon is 2H with 15dmg for 9skill points, and the 4th weapon is also 2H for 9dmg but takes for 15 skill points, or something about that range, im thinking they mixed those two up seein how stats of eachother are just opposites to sp. (no mods btw fresh install).

 

Yah and were are my damn librarys i play it on 2nd to lowest game pace, and wihtout those its hopeless when playing on hihg difficuluty cause the cpu gets a tech multiplier for playin on rediculous ( ibelieve thats how it works) still pretty easy tho cause of the state of the ai and wiht ruin farming but once that ai grows past the knowledge of a 5yr old this could prove a issue.

 

oh and any word if there gonna relase beat fix updates like 1.09o or 109p maybe to keep us 1.1 fanatics happy waiting for it . i luv the new setup but to buggy atm for any fun , espcially when its starts runnign at 1/5 the speed it should be after 30 rounds :(
