109n startup, no food, impossible to found kingdom

I started my first game with the 109N beta, and could not found initial settlement.  kept saying I need 1 food.  Fertile land made no difference.  The only way I can see to, maybe, start, is to choose green thumb - but i really don't want that choice.

I've not had this issue I don't choose green thumb and am able to found my initial settlement in every game I start. Are you by any chance using a custom soverign saved from an old pre 1.09n patch?

i had this bug happen to and as I tracked it down it came down to he Civ Pariden(sp?).  For some reason that civ couldnt found a kingdom.  The ruler was ok, when I took her with another civ, but when I used Pariden.  I was in chat and Let Cari know, but another players said that civ worked fine for them.  Not sure what this means.  Maybe you can track it down more and we can see if its one civ in particular or it varies.

hi.  Happened three times in a row, three new games.  Not saved sov from pre 109n.

Setup choices were Procopine (sp?) and paraden (sp). Tried three times, found kingdom button greyed out, hot "b" key, get message, need one food.  Just tried a different civ/kingdom - and I could found a kingdom.

So, I was lucky enough to choose both the sov, and the civ that together elicit the bug on my very first games?  LOL  ROFL.

Ah this explains why I haven't run into this one I always use a custom soverign and haven't played as Paraden.

Procipinee and Pariden have been always fine for me no matter how many games I start with them.

Without trying to be rude, the patch has been out for 24 hours, exactly how many hundreds of such starts have you found it possible to have had? EWoM isn't exactly famous for its ability to play well with (all) others. I would assume that the reported bug is real (and the purpose of putting out a beta), failures to replicate generally is a useful piece of information for the developers.

Yeah that was me in chat jmccrea.  My first game with the new patch was Procipinee w/ Pariden and I didn't encounter it.

Doesn't mean it's not there though, especially with someone else reporting the same combo producing the issue.

Did I say that there was no bug? Or did I say that I couldn't reproduce it in my end?

What I found out is that I could not found my first city on any empty space, but only on some (the option was gray). I lost 2 turns trying to find the one where it worked. Maybe this is a same issue?
