[x-1.10] some custom made factions not selectable as ai player

mentioned this a while back. think I found out when it happens.

it would appear only newly created empire factions are selectable as ai, if you try to select it in the same game session. (ie.. no exiting game)..

 

basically i made an empire a while back and i can't select it (to play against as ai). tried it again in beta with same faction and still no go. made another empire that's exactly the same aside from name/colors (Larood) ... that showed up.

 

exited game and went out to my doc/ (whatever path it was)... and deleted the 1st custom empire (if only interface in the game allows me to delete directly!) and start new game. the new empire faction is not selectable again as ai.

 

... exited.. copy/paste the custom empire and change the name (Sarood) ... neither selectable.

 

made another custom empire (Tijii) in the game and that one is selectable. exited game... not selectable again.

made yet another one, shows up in faction picker as ai. exit game. enter game and goes back to faction picker ... not available as ai.

 

 

beats me why.. nothing to do with race... tried human empire and quendor empire.. same thing happens.

eh... strange enough.. now this is spread to custom kingdom factions as well.

 

newly made kingdom factions show up to pick as ai if in same session as creation.

 

though oddly.. there's a kingdom faction (Ukitey) that's selectable as ai.. but that one was made back in september... and used as player before (i've deleted all savedgames today) - which i've loaded and saved again whenever there's an update..

note that i can play them as player... just can't pick them as ai... (apart from the old kingdom one i mentioned above)

still not fixed as of 1.1

 

custom kingdom made after 1.1 update. started game in same elemental session.. can pick it as ai. picked it as player instead, started game, exited to windows.

 

started elemental again, start new game, can't pick as ai faction. (can pick it as player faction though)

thanks. saw it.. noticed the bit with alignment before.. no idea what it does (why the need for yet another tag when there's empire/kingdom already) 

 

i don't really play against pre-made factions.. just wanted to flag this up to fix.
