If you have the MCP, make sure it's the latest version. In Stardock Central, it should read "0.60[b].002". If you have this version and still get errors, try reinstalling the MCP, if that STILL doesn't work...as a last effort try reinstalling DX.

DesktopX 1.99p

Download the newest DX2 version: 1.99u(b).003...there's a MCP update in that DX update.

But how do I see in Stardock central what version I have of the MCP? All I can see is what version I have of DesktopX (1.99u). How do I, through stardock central, upgrade the MCP only?

I did. I´ve now got desktopX 1.99u, and I still get the same error message. Checking properties (through windows, since I can´t see no MCP file in stardock central) of the file C:\Program\Common Files\Stardock\sdmcp.exe reveals that I´ve got version 0.0.5.2 of the MCP. Now, that is not the right version if I am to go from what I have read here. So, the question stands: How do I upgrade only the MCP to the correct version?
