I wish I could actually play the game I paid 60 bucks for

Ok I bought this game 2 weeks ago I installed it and when I try to run the game it just says the game has stoped working. I have tried uninstalling it and reinstalling it about 100 times always with the same reults I put in a help request with the support department and they have been less than helpful I updated my drivers my system meets all the games requirements. the last message I got from them ( of the three I have receved in the last 2 weeks) told me to check my prefs.ini file I looked where he told me to look only to find that the file was not there. I am growing increasingly frustrated with this whole situation and just wish someone could help me.
