If It Becomes Finally Possible To Have Enough Units To Defend Cities. Forests Should Be Populated Again Instead Than Having An Empty Map

Well the title is a bit long but I least nobody can accuse me to be "vague" like those guys that entitle their posts "idea" or "problem".

What I want to say is that since the number of monsters was reduced with the latest patches, the map feels like a desert. If KAEL hasn't tried the earlier versions of the game I suggest him to do that in order to see how different the feel of the map was before.

Having forests full of monsters was actually better, but it is true that often they were a bit too strong, or that since players were unable to have enough armies to defend themselves, there were frustrating times when the situation became unbearable.

I believe that having a random map generator that allows to set the quantity of monsters would probably be the best idea, but I would also make those monsters a bit more aggressive but less lethal. One bear that razes a city is indeed a bit unrealistic. He should just maybe destroy one building and kill a few people. An army of course could have a random behaviour when conquering a city, from burning builings to raze the whole town.

What I am saying is that the map feels empty: a desert where nothing happens for way too many turns. It wasn't always like that. A system that allows us to have a garrison in each city will finally make games playable when forests are populated. It is an unique feature of this game the fact that players have to keep units in cities to defend the empire from internal treaths, let's not lose that!

I second this. I have written more or less the same in a few other threads. Let us deciede the frequency of monsters.

I hope someone is thinking of doing a zombie apocalypse mod.  I want zombies pouring out of graveyards!  Think DotA.

To OP: Do you ever start putting points in the adventure tree?  That will spawn you some wandering monsters.

Sure, but with the latest patch there are just a few of them spawned, and since we don't make much money anymore by killing them, the main source of income fades with our hopes to have garrisons in all town.

The very first version of the game was better balanced from that point of view: lots of monsters, lots of money and even more important MANY THINGS TO DO FROM THE BEGINNING!
