Anyone else having the game crash at startup because of the Mod files?

My game crashes a lot at startup, so I checked the debug, HERE, and it lists:

"No files found matching mask C:\Users\Blakflag\Documents\My Games\Elemental\Mods\Screens\*.xml"

etc.

So I rename my Mod folder to "1Elemental" then restart the game and it resets my file structure.  This will last for awhile until it starts all over again.

Any ideas?

A number of no files found messages are normal. If it's having issues while reading in the XML though, the culprit will be the one after what's listed last in the debug there.

Every now and then, the game will crash at start up, it's mildly annoying.

I have it crash at startup for no reason, without mod files - usually right after I crash due to out of memory at 1.6GB or so.

So ... OOM crash, sigh, restart, crash on loading screen, sigh, restart, get back in ... play a few hours, OOM crash, repeat

I try to get in the habit of saving every 3 or 4 turns. Even if you autosave every turn it's still a major frustration having to go back and redo all the moves and battles for 100+ units on large maps when you get to the later turns, where each turn can take 20 to 30 minutes easy when you've made it 300/400 turns into the game.

I don't think I'vw had a starup crash since the second to last beta, a few in game crashes but not on startup.

I actually did have a startup crash happen last night. My game locked up after I clicked the turn button (which usually happens if I don't save every 3 to 5 turns). I hit ctl esc, which is the only way to exit the game at that point. When I tried to reload the last autosave the game crashed at startup (wouldn't load: out of memory error), tried again same thing (apparently the problem got "saved"). I had to go back to the "previous auto save" before I could play the game. But this is not related to mods, as there are problems enough & I don't want to compound the problems by adding some 3rd party players code to game, that's like throwing fuel on the fire.
