Tactical combat

Someone has most likely put forward a similar proposal, however I was wondering if rock paper scissors type system might be useful with respects to unit types to encourage a diversity in troop design, armaments and a more strategic approach. Basically I was thinking something along the lines of infantry gains an advantage over cavalry, cavalry gains an advantage over archer, archer gains an advantage over infantry.

I noticed it was officially stated that tactical battles are receiving a bit of an overhaul with the 1.1 patch. Is this the sort of thing that's being considered to add a modicum of depth to combat resolution?

for tactical id really like to see a we-go instead of the you-go-i-go currecnt setup. kinda way OP to whoever goes first

They're going with an 'initiative' sort of setup, from what I read somewhere. Fastest units go first, slowest last, etc.

So it's an improvement, especially since the fast armies are the ones who aren't the strongest, and it gives a reason to make units speedy over strong.
