Summary: Assassins are champions that can enter enemy cities and engage enemy sovereigns or hero's in one-on-one tactical combat that occurs in a "grand hall" tactical map.
Detail:
Assassins are a special type of champion that targets enemy sovereigns and hero's. When they enter an enemy city tile they engage the target; if present, in tactical combat that occurs in a map of a great hall.
Champions can be assigned an action of Bodyguard. A champion using such an action forfiets it's bonus (such as +1 Arcane) to defend fellow hero's or sovereigns in the same city tile if they are attacked by an assassin(s).
Example #1: The assassin enters the city of Nomen where a Sovereign, 3 hero's and 4 army units are present. One of these hero's has the action Bodyguard activated. The assassin finds himself in tactical combat with the enemy sovereign and his bodyguard.
Example #2: The assassin enters the city of Nomen where a Sovereign, 3 hero's and 7 army units are present. No hero in this title has the Bodyguard action selected. The assassin finds himself in tactical combat with the enemy sovereign.
Example #3: The assassin enters the city of Nomen where a Sovereign and 2 hero's (a merchant and a farmer) are present. The two heros have the Bodyguard action selected. Thus the city does not receive the food or gold bonus that these hero's can provide. The assassin finds himself in tactical combat with the enemy sovereign and his 2 bodyguards.
Benefits:
This addition would introduce a new strategic option to gameplay and provide another option for the use of champions.
