What is this window trying to tell me?

Whenever I click on End-Of-Turn, a small window pops up at the top centre of the screen. I can't read the window because it's all distorted, almost like a V-Sync problem. What is the information in this window? Is it important? Can the problem be fixed? Can I turn the window off?

The game seems to run fine otherwise, so far.

I'm running Windows 7 32 bit and an ATI X1650 Radeon with up to date drivers.

It says what turn it is, and that the AI is making its moves.

I find it a helpful and innocuous addition.  File is as a bug if it isn't working on your card.

If it's not displaying correctly on your machine, please post a screenshot and your debug.err file.

dan, from your debug log it tells us that your video drivers are from july 2009, have you tried updating to the 10.9 (september this year)?, and from what I remember the ati x1650 is quite a few generations old( about 2006 i believe), and might need an updated video card like an ati 4350 which should be about au$50.

Unfortunetly, ATI discontinued its entire line of X series video cards and is no longer providing driver updates. There is a cautionary note on their web site that says you can try the Vista drivers (ver 10.2) in Windows 7, but it is not supported by ATI. I'll give it a shot and see what happens. Otherwise, I may have to look at getting a newer card.

For XP the latest driver is 9.3, which I am running. I do not have this problem.
