Elemental FAQ is up on GameFaqs

Hi everyone! So I've been working on a FAQ/Strategy guide and version 0.8 is up on GameFAQS.

While there is a healthy amount of subjective opinion, the main point is to gather the raw data and get it into a place where fellow gamers can reference it (skip towards the end and look at the "Data" section, I have drawn out the tech trees in ASCII for example). I will also have comprehensive building lists for Kingdom/Empire (so you can compare), spell lists, so on and so forth. It is still very much a work in progress so please bear with me as it evolves. Version 0.8 hadn't been spell-checked so my apologies in advance. Take a drink every time I misspelled "Kingdom" as Kindom, Kingom, etc. :)

I realize full well the futility of cataloging much of this data since it will change come 1.1, but oh well. Gives me something to do :)

Feedback and suggestions for content are appreciated! I will not copy or borrow any original content from these forums without consent from the poster.

Just updated to V0.84:

At my current pace I should have the entire game documented just in time for it all to change in 1.1! :)

I'm fairly certain that the roadmaster trait is working - what it seems to be do is increase the rate at which the roads become higher quality which gives you more food and faster movement along the road.

 

I played a game where i gave my faction all the scouting and movement bonuses and i never ever needed to teleport anywhere.

Also a game in which i am playing now i bumped up my sovereign to have 15 charisma and i gave him the bard trait. This has enabled me to hire every hero i've encounterd for a maximum of 60 gold and a minimum of 6... actually a few hired on for free.

In comparison - in other games i have played with 10 charisma some heroes cost me 600 gold to hire, so i think you need to rethink the usefullness of this trait. i have over 30 heroes, most of which i am ignoring - just using them for their +1 gold or what have you. Certainly has enabled me to pick and choose which ones i imbue so i have powerful heroes.
