[1.09e] campaign bug with warn lord markinn

I am currently on warn Lord Markinn and the campaign had me build a city next to the lake to the left of gildar for the iron production. My city grew over time and I do not know if this is the issue, but lord Markinn city has no borders of the kingdom except the city itself. I am unable to enter the kingdom due to not being able to go into the city itself. So I am not able to complete this part of the campaign.

In my game gildar's area of influence is just his city because my city became lvl 4 and pushed him to just one square of influence (just his city) hence I can not enter his area of influence.

I also have a caravan going to his city this does not activate the event trigger either.

Generally if your city has grown around his, it'll have fired off the event immediately after you were told to go back and warn everyone. So you should be able to continue with your other objectives despite it.

Currently the goods he says he provides don't seem to be appearing as well, but that shouldn't block you from proceeding either.

Hi Kyro long time no see lol. I haven't been around in awhile. ;)

If the event did trigger, I don't have any new tasks in the campaign log or any updates to the completion of it.

Only tasks i have in the campaign log are:

2111 - your forces have to wait until their companions can strike from the sea.

1835 - Lord Markinn must be warned next. ...

Since 1835 is there and no knew ones for the secondary force I don't think it updated and I don't remember anything stating it updated. So I am not sure what to do next.

same problem here... .

I already loaded an older savegame, Lord Markinn didnt had any borders around his castle. The Borders of my City were not even close to his city.

Looks like the trigger is broken. 1 Bug fixed... 1 more to go?

Can someone please tell me something! 1. how to continue campaign? 2. Is bug confirmed? 3. maybe you need more information? Loving the game but start campaign 2 days, ran into collect crystal bug, wait 4 days. Played campaign maybe 1 hour, now it's 7 days no campaign. So I've played campaign about 4 to 8 hours campaign and unable to play for 11 days :(. Thanx, Rhah

Rhah, I suggest you try what Raven-sb talked about in the first reply in your other thread about this bug.

Part two requres you to explore the desert until you get to the unpassable gate. In the mean time your other forces have to enter the boats, and travel around the south part of the world to the eastern coast just south of where you were.  ...  Once the second force was off the boat move them over to the gate where your first force is waiting.  The gate will open. Combine your forces, and move south, south west for the final boss fight.

To me, the entry in your campaign log that says "2111 - your forces have to wait until their companions can strike from the sea" strongly suggests they are waiting for you to do the stuff above. I think there probably will be no other log entry before you do that. I haven't tried it myself so I'm not sure of this but what have you got to lose if you try this? Just keep the save you have now and go back to it if doing this doesn't help (using a new save for trying this out).

Kryo's answer in this thread also seems to support this theory about the correct way to proceed.

Hi jarmox, thank you for reply. I'm really not sure where to go next I went to each city like it said till lord markin and the tasks just stopped. I tried to move my troops from my start town north but there is a moutain there after the first npc city you meet. I don't know where to send my force too next. Nothing in my log stats where to send my troops to other than unlock gate from other side or something. How do I get to other side? Sorry if I am missing something. Rhah

rhah, you could also  build a town next to the obsidian barrier and wait for the zone of influence to expand enough that you can teleport  past the barrier, (just make sure you take a few companies of troops as squads & individuals will just die in the final boss battle. to remove the barrier just take one or more units to the red fire shard and the barrier will drop.

Okay.... so Im new to the game!  From the era of "Lords of the Realm" and have been waiting for a game like this for a few years now..... glad we have one back in the turn-based community!

However, I seem to be stuck!

 

I have attempted the various "fixes" posted in this thread and suggested by others to no avail!

 

Where is the dang boat?!  I have scoured the land looking for the boat/s and cant find anything resembling anything floating in water!  Im on like turn 1030, I have battled back EVERYONE in the desert, Ive been to the Wall, I have found the survivor from Kandir but cant seem to find my way back to "his house" in order to find the book.  Is this something I have to do before the boat will be launched?

 

I definately like the game, but it VERY MUCH SO needs some better instructions and dialog and restrictions regarding quests that you need to do in order to pursue the quest line.  I was stuck on the 25 Crystal quest last night, and it turned out that I placed my city down on top of the spot where the crystal node pops up, and I guess it prevented it from triggering and after scouring these forums last night until 1am, I decided to kill my game and start over this morning.  In which, I was successful in redoing the quest, and getting the Crystal Node to spawn, and I was able to kill the Drake and get through the pass!  WOOHOO!!!  So you guys have definately helped already..... but now Im stuck on this boat part and I cant find the boats...... ARGH!

 

Please help! :)

the first boat appears near the town that gave you the mission to free the crystal & iron mines AFTER you have saved the scribe and have the map edge translated, then had a unit approach the town, the second boat appears near the town that gave you the missions in the swamps, again after a unit of your colour approaches the town, but I had completed the quest without using any boat, just but building a town next to the wall and waiting for the influence to pass the wall and teleport over the wall, and send a unit to the fireshard then the wall disappears,

and I did have to create my own custom design unit with a pioneer pack to be able to build towns, and just build THREE huts per town, and they will grow to level 5 with time alone

Thank you for all the replies. I finally found where the boat needs to dock and I also tried the teleport thing that works too.

The quest log really needs to be more clear and more information on what is completed and not completed. And alot more information on what needs to be done in the campaign. The game is fun, but for some reason I find it lacking to hold my attention. I am happy though I finally was able to progress in the campaign.
