Cursors not changing... getting stuck. . .

I dunno if this is a known issue. I don't have the time to look. But anyway, I am really enjoying the changes made in 1.09. For the first time, I actually got engaged in a game. However, my cursor gets stuck. When hovering over an aggressive creature i can attack... it will change to the attack icon. But then it will become stuck as this icon. This also happens in tactical combat. I will select an NPC on my side and the cursor doesnt seem to change into what it needs to... I.E. Attack Icon and what not. The cursor is all fubared and really messes with enjoyment of the game.

Windows 7 64 but with ATI 5970.

This has been happening for a while now with the last few updates at least.

In short, the cursor doesn't change its states properly. And this occurs at various phases within the game.

So... anyone know if this is a a known issue or not? It's very frustrating. If it is just me, I would like to try to find a solution.

Another user reported over the weekend that this happens after opening/closing the options menu, can you tell if that might be your case as well?

I did not open the options menu that i recall. Unless going to the save game menu counts perhaps?

I havent had a chance to play again (wife, kids, work, jiu jitsu) but I will try that and see if it triggers it if it doesnt do it again.

Will have time tomorrow (Wednesday).

It would, yes.

I just checked it. It got stuck on the wand icon when summoning a critter without me ever going into any menu.

This happened to me a lot on earlier versions, and yes, it has been reported in the support forum, although I don't have the link handy.  Anyway, what was suggested in the earlier report of this problem was to try playing in windowed mode rather than split screen.  That fixed it for me.

To change to windowed mode, go to options, click on the video tab, and uncheck "Use Fullscreen".  You don't need to reduce the resolution, it'll play fine at your full desktop resolution.
