Graphics disappear when using Anti-Aliasing since 1.09 update

I just installed the 1.09 update and with anti-aliasing the graphics disappear (example below). This also means the games map etc. go missing. Switch off anti-aliasing and graphics return (with associated jaggies). I'm running on a ATI 5870 with the 10.9 Catalysts.

Any idea why this happening? Is it a bug? 1.08 and below versions worked fine with anti-aliasing.

OK, scratch this.

If I disable the "Adaptive Anti-Aliasing" option in the Catalyst 3D settings I get the graphics back with anti-aliasing. Didn't happen before 1.09 but at least I have a solution. TBH I still have no idea what "Adaptive Anti-Aliasing" gives you in on the ATI cards.

it did happen before 1.09, at least to some people.

Apparently something that dosen't play nice with Elemental :)  I'll ask our engine guy if we've heard from ATI on the problem.

It seems that the 5000 series drivers do not work and play well with others, or at least 64 bit others.  In Win 7 64 I keep getting messages to deal with a driver issue for the 5770 I installed a week ago. From what I can tell the 64bit drivers are actually based on Vista driver code. The card I took out, a 4350 ATI worked fine with the 64bit drivers!

Moved to support, please post bugs there so they don't get overlooked for the developer roundup.

I do not know if its the same problem, but the graphics for all female races have disappeared. Specifically, its their head that have disappered. Everything, including female hair appears, except for all the heads of the females.

Only the head graphics for the female Amarian race are showing up.

I'm using nvidia gtx 460 btw.

Screenshots showing what i mean are below.

Here is the Amarian race.

Try shift-right clicking the game in Impulse and using the verify option. It's possible the texture or model got corrupted (especially if you're modding).

Hmm nope, it still doesn't work. Even the textures for custom factions made by some of the users here in the forum aren't working.
