Kingdom vs Empire

I'm sorry... truly sorry that in the sandbox mode there's no real sense of this.  There's a +1/-1 on relations and that's the only thing I see.  I'm more or less equally likely to find myself at war with my kind than I am with the 'enemy'.  I'd like to see it harder for Kingdom players to go to war and much more likely that Empire are gonna come stomping in.  Right now I just feel a sort of non-coded sympathy for fellow Kingdom AI (which isn't even slightly reciprocated).  Please please can we have more to give this sense of war of Empire vs Kingdoms in the sandbox?

It should be something like in Crusader Kings and some other paradox game, in that game you could only easily declare war on infidels, Muslims, Pagans, and such.  But to declare war on a fellow Christian, you had to have some reason, like a claim to their title or they did something bad to you.
