[Gameplay] City level options

hey there - i would like to suggest some things that cities should be able  to get besides

Gold increase
Tech Increase
Arcane Increase
Guardian unit

---

Minining town (any metals /clay / marble /crystals etc- bonus)
Farming haven (food increase)
Bastion (+ defensive bonus)
Productive (+unit production and/or buildings)
Beutyfull city (Prestiege boost)
Trade hub (all trade bonus increases - (note migth require certain amount of caravans to target city!)
Frontier town (increased influence)

-----
this would make a interesting add to the game! - as now whwen you come to a mountain pass and place down a city to block there - and there really is no other bonus to be had to the city - you would add bastion to the city and put some defensive units there. - or you find a spot with 3+ food tiles and you just wanna boost the city to its max.

i don't like the level bonuses as a concept at all. basically, because population has no meaningful effect on production of money or resources (and is completely out of the players hands until you get pubs and so forth) they had to come up with a way to make people care about levelling. at the same time, because there are very few ways to control your population growth, they couldn't do what city levels should actually be for (limitting buildings: if the meaty production was limited to later level cities and they player had to choose between many cities and large ones, we wouldn't have the current mess). so they couldn't do that.

so they did the usual stardock and smeared a big, arbitrary, obtuse percentage bonus over everything, that isn't recorded anywhere, explained properly or have any reasonable explanation. (see gal civ 2, and the funky radiation that makes everyone have twice as much sex)

is gildar focus magical? then make it a spell. it is what i order my people to do? then make it something i can change at any time on the city management screen. is it an improvement? then make it a building.

well i alwasy thought of the level bonus to fix a city ontoa specific topic - like a city geared towards gold and trade (hence gildar bonus) or a city that focuses on tech/arcane (the guardian one i always told off as - ok this city spendt time training / capturing stuff and training it .

but yes the level option would just make more sense to me if we had more options to pick from in what way we would like to guide the city.
