Archers still not working

Ok, first of all don't give me the "they hotfixed it", I heard it already and knew before even having to hear it.

Anyway, 2 uninstalls later my archers still don't hit anything.

The first time I uninstalled I uninstalled from within Impulse then reinstalled with the "show pre-release versions" off. For some reason I ended up with V1,08b. I'm assuming that is the beta? I played the game and archers didn't work, made a post and people responded with simply the obvious things I already knew.

So next time I went to my start menu and uninstalled, after that was done however, for some reason unknown to me, I seemed to have another installation in another directory wich I found a little weird, but I uninstalled that too then and this time installed the game from the dvd I received.

Then went onto impulse and updated without the pre release thingy. It now says I have v1.08 on the bottom of the screen in impulse if I have elemental selected. So I assume that this time it worked and I didn't have the beta version and the hotfix for the archers. However, they are still not hitting anything.

Is there anyway to see wether I actually have the hotfix? Is there some place I can see the specific version of the game ?(a bit more detailed than just 1.08 or 1.08b) Cause I can't seem to find it.

And yea, I've started a new game since I reinstalled

I don't know what your trouble is, but since I loaded the most recent patches Sunday, archers have worked fine for me.

Win 7 64 bit, Saphire ATI 5770, 8 gb ram. All drivers current. All patches installed to the OS.

Caveat: It was posted before they made a patch for the beta.

I don't know the beta patch version, but follow the instructions you see in that post to find your versions full name. Beta will probably be something like this: 1.08b[b].037

Are you using any mods? Old custom sovereign? What sort of enemies were you trying to attack?

As I understand it, archers *can* miss under the hotfix, but they still deal max damage if they do hit (that remains to be addressed).
