Patch downgrade/selection

I want to ask if there's some way to do this, because it sems many problems are tied to the new version and I'm lacking time to check those things to provide feedback. I recall some thread from official staff where they mentioned we would be able to uninstall every patch and effectively choose which version of the game we get to play.

I guess uninstalling could do the trick.. or will the game default to last patch on reinstall? :o

I would like to request this implemented (version selection change, either trhough impulse or some installer)

Not trying to start any discussion about patches, just wanting to know my options, thanks for your time.

You can't necessarily downgrade, but if you have the boxed edition, you can uninstall and use the disk in the box to reinstall, and it will be back at version 1.0. From there, you can make all the necessary changes, includingg creating a Sovereign with the Organized trait. Be warned though, the benefits do NOT outweigh the negatives. If you have the digital download, no, I believe if you reinstall it online, it will install the version with the latest patch.

I had to do a reinstall and from the disk I could get (and played for awhile) the 1.0 version.  Next upgrade was the latest version only.

I feared that, still I wouldn't want to get version 1.0 but the previous one. Guess it can't be helped and have to endure it and wait for things to be fixed.

A further question then: Is there a way to disable the ingame suggestion to download last patch in the impulse version of the game, I wasn't logged or had impulse program started and it was annoying (was restarting game often to test mods and this always appeared so I ended updating)
