Thanks for another patch! Back to back patches FTW

I really appreciate it, I can play the game now again. Really makes a big difference and it does not go unoticed when you go the extra mile for your customers.

Did another one just come out or something?   Am I missing something that I shouldn't be?  Or perhaps it's because I have the multiplayer-enabled version?

Or was he referring to the hotfix to 1.08 from yesterday evening?

Pardon my confusion here;  I suppose it's a random bout of paranoia and patch-anticipation for the tactical battle crashes with summons.

That being said, the level of support Stardock has given this game has been extraordinarily dedicated and astounding, especially considering industry standards on this sort of thing.  It's done more to build brand loyalty to me than all of GalCiv's wonderfulness did.

Yeah, unfortunatly we couldn't get the MP patch up tonight, so if you have pre-release versions checked, you'll have ot reinstall to get tonights hotfix :(  Monday we'll be able to get the fixes into the MP beta as well (bows not 'always missing', crashes when using certain abilities, cur-mana not properly saved out of battles).

Thanks for the continued hard work guys!

Don't let things get you guys down!  It's been a rocky start, but most of us are still along for the ride!  Take some extra time with the next patches to make sure things don't get missed.  Most of us will be happy to wait an extra few days if necessary!

Just a quick request (I haven't tried the latest patch yet, downloading now).

Between now and the 'big' 1.1x update, I think it'd be easier for us 'post beta' testers/players if we had smaller, more frequent patches, instead of another mega patch where we are trying to weed through a bunch of changes trying to figure out what needs to be addressed.

A 'mini patch' every week that focuses on some particular gameplay issue, which everyone can focus on and analyze, might help with balance issues more efficiently.

It has been a very very difficult few weeks. Morale is the lowest I've ever seen it. We're pretty saddened by events.  Like most players, we just want to get a build out that just &%$^$ works for everyone without any drama.

That said, we're here for you guys. We're going to work on Elemental until it is the game we hoped it would be. It won't happen overnight but the past couple of weeks have made it pretty clear what ideas worked and which ideas didn't as well as, of course, exposing the technical issues in our new 3D engine.

I hear ya. My group has been tasked with making some of the largest deals of our company. The company would be ok, but these deals are big enough to make everyone in the company very happy at X-mas. As a team, we have been blowing and going for 6 months and have another 6 months to go at least. Right now our team are looking like shock victims, what is next? I feel for you guys and girls. We all appreciate your efforts.

Unfortunately, even un-installing, unchecking "pre-release versions" and reinstalling is not allowing the second hotfix to install for me.  Every time I re-install (I'm trying now for the -4th time- and it takes -2 hours- to re-download and re-install each time), it reinstalls the 1.08B BETA and will not show the 1.08.03X 2nd hotfix update :(

you guys are doing a fine job,  just keep at it .  the game will get there.  forget all the grief just keep at it.  everytime i pop on something new is being done and thats the key.  its clear you care about making it right and thats what counts.

Are there patch notes for today's (Saturday, Sept 18) patch? I saw the Update notice when I called up Impulse just now, so I came to the forum to see the patch notes, but can't find them.

The game is getting better with each patch and its obvious the amount of hard work being put in. Some people wont wait around for things to get better though.

Once things truly get nailed down, it would be nice to get an expansion so the game can effectively be re-released to the world. New reviews, new customers and perhaps the new franchise saved. Who knows?

I´m afraid there is nothing i can say, thats changes anything. But dont let the drama take you down. I enjoy your game and there are so much more. I´m so bored of all the sequels and prequels and even this games were often released in a bad shape and there is no one how cares on the companies side.

With elemental and the new engine you risk so much and i´m sure that will be rewarded, otherwise i´ll eat my hat. ;)

Yes - I have to admit I'm impressed by the number of patches and the efforts of stardock.

I was seriously hacked off with the official release announcement and the results, but perhaps it's better to just ignore the terms used (i.e. next time consider calling it a 'supported release' or 'beta release' etc..) used and look at the action being taken.

So good job, please keep it up until we have a polished product.  And if some of the features in your patches upsets a few people, that's expected and as long as new patches have more good than bad and move things in the right direction, carry on releasing patches anyway.
