Just had the game crash when I was in a tactical battle. You can find the requested files here:
If you were fighting against a unit that has special abilities, or you were using a special ability of one of your units (like the earth golem), then you'll need to pull in an XML file I've posted in this forum to fix the problem.
I installed your fix and started a new game. The game crashed again in a tactical battle. I'll add the new files to the same location above. I hope this gets fixed in the next patch. I can't play Elemental anymore until this is fixed. 
[edit] I added my last save before the crash.
If you have the latest hotfix (from around 8pm eastern today), you don't want to use the XML file I pushed up.
I'm showing version 1.08. I don't think I have the hotfix. With Civ5 coming out in a few days I think I might set this aside for a while. I love this game but the crashing is killing me.
