[Suggestions 1.08] - Mana Regeneration

Why do you only regenerate 1 mana per turn? This is horribly crippling when it comes to the use of magic, if I cast teleport, I can't do so for another 15 turns, that mean over the course of a hundred turns I might be able to cast a handful of spells, this is severely limiting and just doesn't feel very powerful at all. Is there a solid reason for this design decision? I'm just curious what it would be, maybe I'm missing something.

I know it's proposed that the game move to a global mana pool (more like MoM with mana points in general and then upkeep costs were to be integrated in for summons and enchantments, I think/hope) but it sounds like that won't come until the first 'free' expansion, which comes out in a few months I think?

Any chance we can get mana regeneration to be some calculation off of intelligence and endurance or something along those lines, something so we can regenerate more than 1 per turn and make better use of all the neat spells that are showing up?

I think they are planning the change for 1.1, which is the end of the month, or early next, so they haven't toss in any intermediate fix for it. There are a lot of things you can do to speed mana regen up with modding, either through editing your own faction or try some of the mods in the mod section that addresses this.

People are complaining  that spells are overpowered now.  The slow mana regen is one way of putting into code the notion that magic is hard to powerful yet hard to come by.

Slow mana regen rate as a way to lower the power of spells, that's called a 'hack' in programming circles, it doesn't fix the issue it just puts a bandaid on the problem. I have a hard time believing thats why mana regeneration is slow, it's always been slow since release, only spells were mostly busted at release, now they work and they are too powerful? Sheesh. I kinda like how it all works with the latest changes, I just wish my mana would regenerate better, I think global mana pool of points will fix this though so maybe its time to just be patient.

Can anyone official comment on the 1 mana point regeneration rate, out of the box? Is there a good reason for that decision?
