i just had an embarrassing moment.  i said something that (even i realized) was incredibly over the top rude.  so i edited it.  but when i checked the thread a bit later, people were quoting the original offensive statement as though i had left it up...someone should look at that

It was probably cached for a bit or they opened the thread before you edited it. In the future though, perhaps just don't post rude things, eh?
