[1.08 Bug] Magic attack missing bug

[1.08 Bug] Magic attack missing bug

I played the game with my magic leader and she didn t hit hard (missing, 6 to 8 dmg or if she was lucky 17dmg).

But after the last patch i try to attack the monster with my leader but the magic keeps missing 10 times in a row.

That isn t even funny anymore.

I tried different attacks spells. All of them keep missing and now i have a magic leader who only can teleport the army around but do no dmg....I am disappointed.

I tried different sovereigns all created under 1.07, all had the same behavior. I created a new sovereign under 1.08, and everything worked. So the bug seems to be the patch creating issues moving over from the older code to the new in regards to sovereigns.

Hmmm.... I thought that might be the case, so started a new game under 1.08b (w/ hotfix) with Relias. Same issues. I wonder what would happen if I played with a custom sov created under 1.08b...

I created a new sov not ten minutes ago with a stock but updated game and i still have the issue.

The Saturday hotfix was not available for the multiplayer build until Monday--are you still seeing this sort of issue now?

I created a Sov last night, I'm seeing the same problem, all spells miss.  All the spells of her children and imbued champions miss.  "Spells" from monsters hit quite nicely.

Doesn't seem to matter whether I have shards or not.  Intelligence 15+ (depends on the hero), I can't even hit a wolf or a bear.  I spend a lot of time casting Deflect and Heal, cuz nothing offensive works.  I just checked impulse, no updates available, should I be checking for beta updates?  (I have that turned off right now).

Ok, I've figured it out, at least in my case.  It appears I had loaded an old saved game (from before the 1.08 and patches) to look around.  Based on something else I read on the forums, I decided to close the program, and then start a new game without loading any of my old games.  The new Sov I created works just fine now.

Don't know if that helps anybody else.

Yeah, if you load an old game there's unfortunately little I can do to fix the data (the data is simply odd). New games should work just fine now.
