[1.08] Some civ traits (like both of Pariden's traits, "Civilized" and "Influential") not working

"Civilized" claims to lower the cost of establishing settlements, but so far as players have been able to determine, at least in 1.07, settlements don't cost anything except a Pioneer ... this trait has absolutely no in-game effect.  Maybe this could be replaced, now that you're going to make the Merchant, etc., cost resources to make those building maintenance requirements lower (maybe 25%?)  "Influential" also does not seem to have any in-game effects, either.

Other players, what other traits do you know do not have any in-game effects?

(And no, I don't have 1.08 available yet, just thought I'd post this on the list for the next update since it wasn't mentioned in Frogboy's changelog)

Just read your post in the other thread and I was about to quote you...

Now I can second your concerns in an appropriately made thread, thanks!

This bothers me much, because such little touches could add a lot to the "early" depth of Elemental- Since we're expecting bigger changes in the future, it would be nice to, at least, have SOME faction difference in the meantime.

Long-story short, seconded!

There are faction differences.  Most traits are working, but these two don't, making Pariden handicapped to play.

Yes i know... But those that work are Egalitarian and Resourceful! :p

(I know, there are others too... Master archer, great warrior... Never understood if deathworship works or not...)

Pariden does seem to get +50% food bonus to all it's cities (which is pretty powerful). This could be the civilized trait at work and they just never got around to updating the description text. No idea if the influential trait is doing anything, doesn't seem any differnt that the other factions.
