Bug Report: Unable to move over terrain I have already passed?

Is there a workaround?

Both my son, and myself are having this issue.

We are playing on the Large Map, Ware of Magic. In the initial starting place, along the coast, we each founded a settlement to include the resources next to the interesting waterfall/altar.Both of us have custom monarchs.

In moving my people around, I was able to go by the bandit area, not fighting them, and then toward the spiders nest. Then when I went to return, I couldn't. My monarch could not join them either.

At this point I am trying to raise land around the coast to be able to rejoin them. or to encompass them in my area of influence and try to teleport to them, and figure out a way to teleport back. This is very frustrating.

Has anyone else experienced this? Is there a workaround?

It sounds from your description like you're playing the campaign map as a custom map through the sandbox? That could be a source of some oddities.

Hmm, we both chose new game, and used the load-War of Magic, map. Both of us were using custom sovereigns. Is that what you mean?

I think the War of Magic (campaign map) has many triggers that prevents you from going beyond certain points without doing other things first. As a result, if you play it as is, you'll get weird quirks like this. If you really like the map, you should open it up in the map editor and remove all the triggers and save it as another map, then play that one.
