Imbue Hero

I've seen a couple posters state that the sov's kids can imbue, but none of mine can -- only the sov himself.  Were others able to imbue in previous versions?  My sov's essence keeps getting nerfed because I wanted a lot of magic wielders.  Got married, traded kids ... now I'm thinking i should only have my sons intermarry because the gal goes wherever, that'd give me more magecasters and by not giving away daughters, I can keep them as magecasters too.

If you give away daughters, they will eventually have kids(your grandkids). Upon reaching maturity, grandkids choose whether to side with their father's or their mother's faction. When they choose the latter, you will receive them as units.

Also, you can have magic-wielding champions without ever giving up any essence on your sovereign. To do so, research adventuring that unlocks level 2 quests asap. The 'filthy warlock' one rewards you with a potion that gives 0.5 essence. Give that to a non-magic champion, and on his next level-up he can put points into essence.

Later on you can find a ring of essence in the ruins(level 4 or 5 i think) which is even better as it is reusable. Give it to a champion, level him up, put points into essence, then give ring to another champion and repeat as necessary.
