Comprehensive Elemental Book Review Thread.

Lets have a single thread dedicated to peoples reviews and thoughts on Elemental: Destiny's Embers

As for my part the book is actually not that bad, infact its nowhere near as bad as some reviews make it out to be. Granted its no LOTR either but its certainly not a bad read. In fact if you want a book thats an easy read I would day that this book fills that bill. And given its price I do feel that anyone who is interested in the world of Elemental should at least check this book out.

I'm about half way through the book right now, so will wait to post a more complete review.  However, despite what I was expecting to find, the book is actually... pretty good.  Yeah.  It is.

I got it because I thought it would be a fun thing to have, but didn't have any hopes of it being well written or having anything in the way of a plot.  But it reminds me of the David Eddings Belgariad books.  Not as complex of course, but not that far off the mark either.  All in all, a fun read with some pretty good scenes and enjoyable characters.

I know I was scared when I started reading! :P I was pleasantly surprised as well, and I too am about half way through but I am liking what I am reading so far. :)

Also, could someone let us know exactly what the extra game material is like. Is it a campaign with the same quality as the one in game already or something else?

I liked it. Looking forward to the downloadable book characters once they're released.

Finished the book, it was not bad, in fact some parts actually pulled you along, making you want to read more, but the ending was meh, you can tell it was deliberatly left open for an other book.

The Umberdroth and Magor FTW! :P

It was opened ended making another book a must. I loved it, great read. There really wasnt any slow parts, switching between the characters keep me wanting to read more to find out what happened.

If you liked the book you might want to review it on Amazon. I don't know if any of you saw that earlier thread but a bunch of the lunatics at Quarter to Three.com who stalk Brad around the Internet got together to trash the book and harass people who gave it positive reviews.

Do people actually read Amazon reviews?

If I was undecided on whether to buy something or not, mostly positive reviews usually push me to pulling the trigger so yeah give it an honest review people.  O:)
