Why are carvans...

Why, when you are cycling through units, do caravans that  already have a route they are working on, get counted in?  Especially when you have a lot of cities, and can't see all units, or cities icons, do we have to see caravans in route.

Also, as a temp fix, can we get a key command to cycle through cities. I was in the middle of a small map with 4 opponents, and after taking out three of them, I ended up with 15 or so cities. Other than scrolling around on the map, there is no quick way that I know of to cycle through your cities.
