Disappointing number of quests

Is it just me, or it seems there is disappointingly small number of quests in the game, especially at higher levels?

If my memory is correct there is just two level 3 quest, as well as two level 4 quests.

On the other hand, number of quest locations that spawn, when appropriate tech is research, is much higher. But all those extra locations disappear after "quest quota" is filled.

Yes, your memory is correct. I also could not really believe it, that there seemingly were so few quests later on. So I checked the xml-files themselves. Two non-repeatable quest on level three and four each. But both apparently with quite a few possible starting locations. And it does not look much better for low level quests ... but here the alchemy-quest is at least repeatable.

Oh, but one small correction. There is only one working level 4 quests. The "Destiny's Tutor" quest is completely broken in my experience (nothing happens upon entering the lair of the demon and you only see it on the map AFTER moving a unit in its vicinity)... but so is also the quest with the dragon egg. At least if you reload between getting the egg and delivering it to the dragon. I had to do it multiple times until I got the dragon completing the quest due to persistent OOM crashes when I tried to save somewhere on my way back or after handing in the quest.

I thought this is where the modding community was anticipated to assist but that is hindered due to gettting the game bugs /balance ironed out...

Assist is OK, but here it is rather "do most of the work". Especially for a game that advertised the adventuring aspect so much as Elemental.

Why, they could even just have implemented fixed quest hubs offering off-the-shelve quests like "conquer X" or "kill champion Y / B units of player A" and just the occasional unique quest, I would have been happy. But two for each level?

Also the event like quests (i.e. those that were randomly offered to you by citizens and that were mentioned in the Dev Journals) seem to have been omitted from the final release.

And together with the bugs in some of the quests this leaves adventuring in summary currently in a rather sad state.

This reminds me of barricade from campaign, which also didn't worked (was unpassable) after saving and loading. At least according of to the description of the bug, when it was fixed in one of the previous patches.
