v1.07 Bug Report

Here is a list of bugs I have encountered while playing version 1.07.

  • Out of memory crash (approximately every 100 turns or so)
  • Sound issues - Dragons make human noises. I don't know if it is a design choice, a lack of variety, or a bug, but I'm leaning towards bug.
  • Sometimes, when I am deciding where to construct a building, it's "ghost" does not appear on the tile that my cursor is over. But when I click the building does appear. Likewise, when new resources appear late game, they are invisible. This is frustrating if I do not build them right away and the red exclamation point goes away.
  • Anti-Aliasing - I have to keep it off. If I turn it on, I cannot see avatars during sovereign selection or sovereign creation. Also in game, the cloth map is blacked out.
  • Late game slow-down. It is a lot better now with v1.07, but I still believe it could use some significant improvement.
  • Unit portraits. I made a mounted unit in the portrait the human figure is standing rigidly on top of the horse at and angle. It looks really funky.
  • Tactical battles have numerous bugs, most of which I haven't really logged down. Delays, sound problems, crashing... pretty much what everyone else has been mentioning.

Okay. So there it is. Here are my system specs.

  • Windows 7 64-bit
  • 1.5 TB 7200 RPM Hard Drive, with 1.1 TB of free disk space
  • 8 GB DDR3 Memory
  • ATI Radeon 5850 graphics card with Directx 11
  • 2.8 GHz Intel Core i7-860 Processor

I hope this helps out some. Thanks for the fun game guys!

Please open your debug.err file in notepad, and link the contents into a post here via pastebin. This will give us some technical information that can help troubleshoot your problem.

The file can be found in My Documents\My Games\Elemental

Be sure to copy the debug immediately after the error occurs; if you start the game again, the debug log will be erased and recreated for the new session.
