(LBC) Map generator scripts:

I've gone ahead and followed Frogboy's lead and created a small set of configuration files for the in-game map generator.  From what I can tell, the new map types do not work when creating a new game and therefore will only work in the Cartographer's Table.  Hopefully, a future patch will allow files like these to be used when starting a new game.

 

Directions::

  1. In the options menu of Elemental, enable the option "USE MODS"
  2. Create a plain text file.
  3. Copy and paste the xml code into the file.
  4. Save the file and rename it with the extention  ".xml"
  5. Place the new xml file in the  "/[Elemental_User_Directory/Quest" directory  (often "/My Documents/My Games/Elemental")

When you choose Medium / Large or whatever size when starting a new game, the game doesnt actually generate any maps, it just picks a random Seed_25971 named map.

You can go into the cartographer, and make any map you want (or generate one with your new map scrips, which i'll try now!), then save it as Seed_25927 or whatever, look at the original files and mimic their names but with a unique number.
Then that new map will be in the pool to have a chance of being picked when starting a new game (or you could just load it manually, ofc).
