Cautious "Wait and see" approach.

Personally, I think it would be good to adopt a cautious "wait and see" approach.  What's happened has happened.  The future however is not decided (which is one of the great things about it :D ).  I'm probably a little bit on the side of being "cautiously optimistic". ^_^   But I think it's time to just see what happens, with the knowledge that even though it is very rarely the absolute best that happens... it is also very rarely the absolute worst either. ;-)

I'm certainly very much on the side of being "intelligently* optimistic".

 

* > "Intelligence" referring here to a very informed knowledge based on my dealings with Stardock and its dedicated CEO (since the Galactic Civilization 1 beta, a long time ago), and more recently based on the numerous forum posts where Stardock owner "Frogboy" has very clearly stated that fixing, upgrading & enhancing Elemental will be his game-development team's sole priority until it has truly become the awesome game it was conceived to be. That guaranteed commitment has even pushed away, towards an indefinite future, the project of starting work on a new game -- maybe a GalCiv 3.

Well, Elemental is the first Stardock game I have been part of. ^_^   But based on my experiences and from what I've read, what you say does seem to be likely. |-)
